Heavy-Weight Drill Pipe (HWDP): Thicker-walled pipes used near the BHA to provide transitional stiffness between drill collars and standard pipes. Non-Magnetic Drill Pipe: Made from non-magnetic alloys for use near measurement tools (MWD/LWD) to avoid interference.
